Connected building systems across every floor of a facility

Independent by design. We sell no equipment and install nothing.

Know exactly what is in your building, and what it will cost you next.

Blackhawk Research assesses every low-voltage system in a facility and hands the owner one honest picture: what is installed, what is failing, what code now requires, and what the next three to five years will cost. Because we do not sell hardware or perform installations, the recommendation is the only thing we have to sell.

What we do

Over 30 years across commercial, healthcare, education, industrial, and mission-critical environments, backed by BICSI RCDD and RTPM, NICET, and unlimited North Carolina electrical and general contractor licenses.

Facility Technology Assessments

A structured, multi-phase evaluation of every low-voltage system on site: cabling, networks, fiber, access control, video, fire alarm, nurse call, BDA, and the power behind them.

Documentation & Lifecycle Planning

Full device inventory, system age and compatibility review, code compliance findings, immediate risks, and a three to four year replacement budget.

Low-Voltage System Design

Permit-ready design documentation: structured cabling, fiber, CCTV, access control, NFPA 72 fire alarm, BDA and DAS, drawn so a contractor can bid it and an inspector can pass it.

Facility Technology Assessments

A structured walk of every system, not a sales visit

We inventory each system, record its age and condition, check it against current code, and identify what will not survive the next few years. Owners get complete visibility into their technology infrastructure and stop being surprised by emergencies.

Documentation your next contractor can actually bid from

Most facilities have no reliable record of what was installed or when. We produce one: device inventory, compatibility review, code assessment, prioritized risks, and replacement budgeting you can take to a board without translating it first.

Low-Voltage System Design

Drawings a contractor can bid and an inspector can pass

When the design comes from whoever is also selling the equipment, the specification tends to match their catalogue. We design and document only, so the drawing set reflects what the building needs: pathways, device schedules and specifications sized against the code edition your AHJ is actually enforcing.
