Why documentation is the expensive gap
When no one has a record, every contractor who walks the building has to rediscover it, and every quote includes the cost of that discovery. Scope gets guessed at. Change orders follow. The same questions get answered and then lost again on the next project.
A current, accurate record removes that overhead permanently. It also means the owner, not the vendor, holds the knowledge about the building.
